Busoga United shared spoils with Kyetume FC in a 1-1 draw played at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.
The point earned from the encounter was Busoga’s first this season having suffered back to back defeats to UPDF and BUL FC in the opening fixtures.
Following a barren draw at half-time, youngster Ibrahim Mugulusi broke the deadlock to give Busoga the lead from a Nicholas Kasozi well laid ball in the 52th minute.

Defender Musitafa Mujuzi put the game on level in the 64th minute with a flawless penalty kick following Hakim Magombe’s handball in the forbidden area.
Despite a poor start to the season, Busoga United head coach Abbey Bogere Kikomeko is optimistic his team will improve in the subsequent games,
“We came targeting maximum points as our opponents also did since they had also played to two draws. We have a problem in defending which has led us to concede a penalty in each game. We keep on changing defenders but we working on that and I believe soon we shall rectify it” Bogere Kikomeko said in the post match conference
Kyetume are also winless in their first three games having previously played to 1-1 and 2-2 draws with Kitara and Wakiso Giants respectively.
Busoga United are 13th with one point from three games whereas Kyetume FC who have three points.
Kyetume FC will play against UPDF FC in their next game on Wednesday 16th while Busoga will face Police FC on Tuesday 15th.
