Busiro unveil experienced squad ahead of Airtel Masaza Cup

Teams have continued to beef up their squads ahead of the 15th edition of the Airtel Masaza Cup. On Saturday 25th, May Busiro officially unveiled their new look squad to compete in this year’s tourney.

Among the new recruits, is Mikidadi Ssenyonga a former Buddu, Gomba and Ssingo player, Ivan Sserubiri also formerly at Buddu and Gomba.

2015 winning goalkeeper with Ssingo, Adadi Mutumba last year he was a losing finalist with Buddu and Paul Wasswa formerly at Bugerere and Buddu are the notable new signings.

The technical bench comprises of Noah Mugerwa who joined from Busujju and will be assisted by Peter Sibo, URA FC goalkeeping coach Steven Billy kiggundu and Paul Nsubuga as the team manager.

Busiro is in Bulange group alongside 2008 winners Kyadondo, 2011 champions Buluuli and Buwekula. They will officially begin their campaign away to Buluuli on 9th June.

They have never won the competition and their best performance was in 2017 were they reached the semifinals. The team also had a practice match losing 2-0 to newly promoted topflight side Wakiso Giants.
