BUL to test KCCA’s resolve in visit to Lugogo

Alex Isabirye's men are second place on the 16 team log and they are five points adrift their opponents

Table leaders KCCA will be looking to stretch their lead and grip on top of the table when host in form BUL FC at the Omondi stadium in Lugogo.

Alex Isabirye’s men are second place on the 16 team log and they are five points adrift their opponents.

They will be aiming to close in and reduce the deficit to just two points.

Coming into this encounter, both teams have played 7 games and are seated in the first and second position on the table.

KCCA FC are on 19 points while their visitors are second placed on 14 points.

BUL FC battled from a goal down to force a draw from their previous encounter against Gaddafi FC in the Jinja derby.

KCCA FC earned a 1-0 victory from Barifa stadium in Arua against Arua Hill SC.

The lone goal was scored by forward Davis Kasirye who came off the bench to extend his personal tall to 4 goals so far this term.

The previous five meetings between these two sides have seen KCCA FC win thrice and BUL winning the other two games.

“I expect a very difficult game given that we are playing against a second placed team but given that we are in our own backyard, we shall try to play according to plan and eventually win.”

Said Morley Byekwaso of KCCA FC

BUL FC’s Alex Isabirye equally anticipates a tough day but hopes for the best out of the encounter.

“I know the game won’t be easy because KCCA is one of the most organised teams in the league and have a set of very good and young coaches but we are going all out for a win.”

He said.

KCCA FC will be without Brian Majwega who is serving a suspension but utility player Denis Iguma returns.

Julius Poloto is ruled out of this game. He was stretchered off in the previous game after he picked an injury.

Peter Magambo, Brian Aheebwa, Brian Kayanja and long time absentee Emmanuel Wasswa are also still out with injuries.

BUL FC has a full squad available for selection.

Hitmen Davis Kasirye, Charles Lwanga and Ashiraf Mugume are men to watch for the Kasasiro boys while club’s topscorer in the on-going season Musa Esenu(3 goals) and captain George Kasonko are expected to be instrumental for the visitors.
