BUL seek supremacy over Busoga United in another Jinja Derby

BUL FC will host struggling Busoga United at Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe in another Jinja derby.

This season’s derby however comes at a time when the two sides are in different worlds as regards form.

Busoga are in the bottom half of their log, whereas their rivals are enjoying some fine form despite losing to KCCA FC in their previous league outing.

The last time the two sides met, it was Arthur Kyesimiira at the helms of BUL FC and they lost 1-0 to their rivals courtesy of South Sudanese International Ivan Wani. The result sparked Kyesimira’s exit from BUL.

BUL are fifth on the table with 14 points eight games and victory can see them move to up to third.

12th on the table with seven points from seven games, Busoga United will move to the top half of the log for the first time this season.

The last eight meetings for the two sides have seen Busoga United winning twice BUL once and the other five have ended in stalemates.

Alex Isabirye the BUL FC tactician expects a tough encounter but reiterates that his team good enough to come out on top.

“We are very sure it will not be an easy game since these players have been playing together but we have always tried to build confidence in my players and taught them how to collect the maximum points.”

Former Busoga United captain George Kasonko, Umar Mukobe, Godfrey Akol, Ibrahim Mugulusi, Jeromy Kirya and Ivan will be facing thier former side.

Similarly Anwar Ntege, Kenneth Kibbale, Peter Onzima and Douglas Bithum will be playing against their immediate employers.
