BUL FC to honor contractual obligations of players amidst COVID-19 crisis

BUL Football Club chairman Ronald Barente says the club will continue respecting players’ contracts despite the current global crisis brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Barente says the club will stick to paying the salaries of their players despite the indefinite layoff.

” The football fraternity has been greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and all leagues have come to a hold where we had to order our players to stay home as we try to keep safe.”

” As BUL FC we still honor our players’ contracts as far as payment of salaries is concerned. We also continue to monitor the players from home and thank God that all of them are doing well.”

BUL FC who are under coach Arthur Kyesimira, are sixth on the table with 36 points from the 25 games played.

Barente urges fellow Ugandans to follow the preventive measures set by the government in order to combat the spread of Coronavirus.

” My request to my fellow Ugandans is to follow the preventive guidelines set by the government so as to defeat the pandemic. Everything will go back to normal if the pandemic ends.”

As of Saturday April 11th, Uganda has registered 53 Coronavirus positive cases. World wide, the COVID-19 pandemic has claimed 102,669 lives.
