Deogratius Ojok’s lone strike was enough for BUL to secure their fisrt ever win against Onduparaka FC at FUFA Technical Centre Njeru.
It was in the 62nd minute that Ojok found the back of the net after a goal mouth scramble finding Nicholas Sebwato off his line.
It was a first half of equal opportunities with both sides getting limited chances that could lead to a break through.
This takes Deogratius Ojok on 4 goals and he is currently the leading scorer for BUL.
Vianne Ssekajugo, Gaddafi Gadhino and Ezira Bida tried their lack but could not break through past defenders lead by Willis Otong and skipper Abdul Mayanja to give the Caterpillars a goal.
BUL tactician Peter Onen accounted the victory to proper preparations and hard work from his players.
” It is a great honour managing the first ever win against the Caterpillars and I believe this came as a result of hard work and determination.”
“This is our turning point I believe and this result will highly inspire us as we face our next opponent.”
BUL FC remains in the 6th position with 18 points from 10 games as Onduparaka FC 3rd on 20 points from 11 games.
BUL FC will be back in action on Sunday 16th December in the Jinja derby against Kirinya Jinja SS at the mighty Arena while Simeon Masaba’s men will host Police FC at Green Light Stadium Arua same day.
