BUL FC Vs Kirinya Jinja SS
Date : Saturday 21st April 2018
Venue : Kakindu Stadium
Kick off : 4:00pm

BUL FC will welcome their nemesis Kirinya Jinja SS in the Jinja derby. The hosts will be seeking to bridge a gap between themselves and the drop zone whereas the visitors are almost assured of topflight football next season but they will not take the contest lightly as they will be fighting for glory.

The hosts BUL are on an agonizing aftermath of a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Mbarara City courtesy of Segujja Swalik and Emmanuel Ibe Obinna. Pierre Kambale scored the only goal for the Jinja based side.

Kirinya on the other hand were humbled by URA 2-0 at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole in their previous game.

BUL FC are currently in 9th place with 29 points accumulated in the 24 games they have played so far whereas their opponents Kirinya are comfortably sitting in the 5th position on 37 points collected in 24 games.

The first round meeting between both sides ended in a 1-1 stalemate at Bugembe Stadium, with Patrick Asiku scoring for BUL and Ibrahim Kayiwa for Kirinya.

BUL head coach Kefa Kisala will be serving his final game of suspension following a three match club suspension. Assistant coach Kiwanuka Tirika will again be in the dugout. Hannington Selwanyuno and William Otongo will undergo a late fitness test ahead of this fixture.

The good news is that forward Hamis Tibita is available after failing to make the final U-20 squad to take on South Sudan in the second leg of the U-20 AFCON qualifiers. Daniel Shabene, Pierre Kambala and Richard Wandyaka are expected to help the home side bounce back to the rails.

Charles Ayiekoh’s side will be without injured defender Livingston Mulondo, his solidness will be missed at the heart of defense.

Apart from Livingston Mulondo everyone is available at Charles Ayiekoh’s disposal for selection and will look up to Bashir Mutanda, Musa Esenu and Fred Amaku for inspiration.

Maximum points for BUL tomorrow will take them a major step towards safety and will leapfrog URA in 8th place, whereas three points for Ayiekoh’s men will see them move to fourth place currently occupied by Arua outfit Onduparaka.
