BUL FC players celebrate Yunus Sibira’s goal

BUL have extended their dominance against Express following a 1-0 victory at Kakindu, thanks to a goal from substitute Yunus Sibira in the second half.
The first stanza was a half of few goal scoring opportunities, with the best chance coming at the stroke of half time when Daniel Shabena was released by Mike Ndera but his shot hit the post denying the home side a halftime lead.
In the second half, Fred Kyambadde had a chance to put the home side in front in the 56th minute when Hassan Musana’s Freekick found him unmarked though heading wide.
BUL Fc tactician Kefa Kisala introduced on attacking changes with Hamis Tibita, Pierre Kambale and Yunus Sibira coming on for Brian Kakaire, Mike Ndera and Fred Kyambadde respectively.
The tactical move paid off when substitute Yunus Sibira broke the deadlock in the 68th minute capitalizing on poor defending from Express Fc. The visitors head coach Douglas Bamweyana reacted by introducing on Jose Maria Lubega for Mike Birungi.
Mubarak Nsubuga had the best chance to equalise for the visitors in the last minute of the the game only missing from a close range.
The defeat today means that Express Fc has lost all the three league outings this season and are yet to find the back of the net away from home.
It is also the second loss on the trot having lost 2-1 to Onduparaka Fc at hole last week.
The win today cools pressure on Kefa Kisala whose job was on the line, victory today also moves BUL Fc out of the drop zone and takes them to 11th place on 8 points whereas defeat put Express Fc 13th on the log with 7 points.
BUL FC will next host second placed Onduparaka Fc while Express Fc welcome Bright Stars at Wankulukuku in their next fixture.
