Soltilo Bright Stars and Arua Hill settled for a goalless in a game played at Kavumba.

Bright Stars who came into the encounter looking for a second win of the season, had the lion’s share of goal attempts but agonizingly failed to make good use of them.

Arua Hill named striker Alfred Leku and defender Bright Joseph Vuni in their starting line up despite the fact that duo had featured for Uganda in a friendly game against Tanzania in Dar es Salaam yesterday.

Leku nearly made the difference in the 27th minute when he capitalized on a slip by defender Allan Katwe to set up Sam Ssekamatte who instead failed to connect with ball.

The home side had two attempts through their captain Nelson Senkatuka towards the halftime break but he was denied by goalkeeper Rogers Omedwa.

Omedwa also stopped Emmanuel Loki’s effort at the hour mark shortly after dealing with Senkatuka’s free kick moments earlier.

Senkatuka squandered a glorious chance to break the deadlock when he blasted the ball wide after Omedwa and Rashid Toha failed to deal with a teasing ball in the 77th minute.

Two minutes later, Leku forced Simon Tamale in a brilliant save.

The game saw Bright Stars register their 6th point of the season and remain 14th.

Arua Hill are 7th with 14 points and will be taking on UPDF FC in their next game on Saturday 18th December in Barifa.

Bright Stars will visit BUL FC in their next game on Friday 17th December.
