Bright stars FC played to a 4th consecutive draw when they held Police FC to a barren stalemate at Namboole. The draw also extended Police FC ‘s patchy performance since they have registered only one win from their previous 10 games.

25 minutes into the game, Police FC were forced into an early substitute when goalkeeper Douglas Kisembo got injured and was replaced by Davis Mutebi.

11 minutes later, Police had a chance to break the deadlock when Enock Walusimbi fouled a fast running Pius Kaggwa in the goal area resulting into a penalty which was taken by Ben Ocen but easily saved by Bright Stars custodian Benson Wagima.

Into the second half, Police pressed harder for an early goal but Bright stars’ defence stood solid not to give in.

25 minutes into the second half, it was the Bright Stars’ clearest cut opportunity for goal but Davis Mutebi saved Opejo Kokas’ close range shot by punching the ball out and the resultant corner kick did not yield results either.

The draw takes Police FC to 29 points and to the 7th position while Bright Stars goes to 26 points and drops to the 11th position.

In their next game, Police FC will play hosts to Masavu FC on Wednesday 4th, April while Bright stars will play visitors to Vipers SC at St. Mary’s stadium Kitende on Tuesday, 3rd April, 2018.
