Bright stars 2-1 Onduparaka : The Stars shine brightest against Onduparaka

Bright Stars have continued to show their might against Onduparaka with an impressive 2-1 win. Marksman Nelson Senkantuka and Moses Okoth made sure Onduparaka leave Mwererwe in dire defeat.

Onduparaka FC looked a better side in the first minutes of the game seeing Vianne Sekajugo almost putting the Caterpillars in the lead but headed over the bar.

Bright stars gained confidence and created serious attacks led by skipper Nelson Ssenkatuka and Sheif Batte and in the 26th minute Senkatuka put the hosts in the lead through a good cross from Methodius Jungu outside the eighteen yards box.

In the 51th minute Vianne Sekajugo tried to level matters for the Caterpillars coming from the run but goal was cancelled after he was ruled offside

In the 80th minute substitute Moses Okot who had replaced Hakim Ssekitto in the 63th doubled for the hosts through a cross from Captain Nelson Ssenkatuka who came from the run beating all the caterpillar defenders making 2-0 in favour of the hosts.

Onduparaka FC didn’t lose hope as they continued to attack and Aggrey Kirya found a consolation for the caterpillars in what looked to be as a result of disorganisation from Bright Stars defence.

Aggrey Kirya becomes the first player to score a goal against Bright Stars on the three meetings as Onduparaka is yet to win any.

Bright Stars lies second on the table with seventeen points as Onduparaka is pushed to sixth with 16 points.

Both teams are playing again on Saturday 18th -November as Onduparaka will play host to Kirinya Jinja SS at Betway Green Light Stadium as Bright Stars visits SC Villa at Masaka Recreation Grounds in Masaka
