Bright Stars and Express missed a chance to go top of the table as the two sides played to a 1-1 all draw at Champions Stadium, Mwererwe.

Express FC was without suspended Tony Odur but they had courage, tenacity and patience in the opening stages of the game appearing the more daring side.

Pressure paid off as teenage striker Eric Kambale fired the visitors into an early lead to send the traveling fans into jubilant mood. This was his second goal of the campaign since joining the Red Eagles at the start of the season.

With only seven minutes to halftime breather, Brian Kayanja restored parity for Kajoba’s charges. After the first 45 minutes, both sides were level.

Express FC was forced into a change one minute after recess, with injured custodian Tony Kyamera paving way for Ronnie Mutebi.

Both sides didn’t create any more chances as it was in the opening stanza and had to settle for a point apiece after a 1-1 stalemate.

Bright Stars are currently second on the 16 team log with 15 points while Express are 6th placed with 13 points.
