BOXING : Ssebute promises fireworks as the clash of generals fight is launched

Nara Promotions together with the UPDF Sports Department have officially launched a Boxing fight dubbed the clash of the Generals.

The function was graced by UPDF Director of Sports Department, Col. John Mark Ssemanda, Kick boxer Moses Golola and Hussein Babu represented Nara Promotions and various officials from Uganda Professional Boxers Commission (UPBC).

The main fight will be between Abdru Ssebute and Tanzanian Swedi Muhamed who will be battling for the East and Central Africa Boxing Union belt in the Super Fly weight category on 27th September at MTN Arena.

Ssebute who has six fights on his track record, won five by knockout and one on points promised fireworks during a press conference at Ministry of Defense and Veteran Affairs headquarters, Mbuya on Monday Morning.

“I am very ready to face off with the Tanzanian, i have been preparing for this fight and i can’t wait for the day to knockdown my opponent.”

Stated an optimistic Ssebute.

Director of Sports UPDF, Col. Ssemanda asserts that the fight comes at the right time when Ssebute is preparing for the World Military games due in China this year.

“This is a great opportunity for Ssebute to showcase his potential as he prepares to represent us at the forthcoming World Military games in China.”

On the same night, John Sserunjogi will be locking horns with Waiswa Juma in the East and Central Union Boxing title fight in the 75Kg category while Tanzanian Paul Kamatha and Musa Ntege will tussle it out in the 79Kg cruiser fight.
