Big Strikers International will be organizing and promoting fights for heavyweight Boxer Shafiq Kiwanuka.
Big strikers chairman Sam Buchanan says that they want to make Kiwanuka an international fighter by organising international fights for the youthful Boxer.
Buchanan also confirmed that Kiwanuka will have his first fight early next year in January to help boost his Boxing career.
“We want to promote and make Kiwanuka an international fighter and also help others in the sport revive their boxing careers.
I know Shafiq is one of the best youth fighters in the world and that’s why we are giving him promotion.”
“I am looking forward to seeing Shafiq face one of the icons in the sport like Anthony Joshua in the next two years.”
Buchanan added that he wants to see Boxing in the country great again like in the past.
“I want to see Boxing great again as it was back in the days of Iddi Amin and that’s why I am going to make sure we promote many fighters.”
Kiwanuka will be facing Kenyan heavyweight Boxer Obadiah Mwangi on 26th January, 2019 and on the same day Muwumuza Fred will tussle it out with Alvin Owino. Big Striker international are however still considering to use Hotel Africana or Lugogo indoor as the venue to host the fights.
Shafiq Kiwanuka has only two professional fights, winning one and losing the other. He has 15 amateur fights, winning 13. Nine of these wins have been by knock outs and only lost twice. Big Strikers International is best remembered for bringing great Boxers like Badru Lusambya to the Boxing world.
