Shafiq Bisaso has hailed his beleaguered young Proline troops for sealing a historic double in a dramatic fashion. They have now won the Big league and the Stanbic Uganda cup.
They edged Bright Stars 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 stalemate at Masaka Recreational grounds on Saturday.
The serial and charismatic winner who made his mark in the Masaza Cup competition became the first Proline head coach to achieve such an incredible achievement in their history.
"It has been a fantastic season for us and I am very happy to see that my youngsters delivered. I thank the almighty Allah for enabling us have such unbelievable season."
"It has been an amazing and successful football campaign for us, the boys put up tremendous performances in every game".
" I strongly believe that we shall build on this success to see that we have a great season in the topflight next season."
Bisaso is confident that many of his victors will stay with club.
"My players are contracted with the club and I don't think they will leave and I am confident they are to stay to help us in the top tier next season."
Bisaso also became the first coach to guide a second tier side to a Stanbic Uganda Cup glory. Proline will represent Uganda in next season's CAF Confederations Cup
