Birikwalira confirms leaving Arua Hill


Left back Dan Birikwalira has confirmed his exit from newly crowned FUFA Big League champions Arua Hill SC.

The defender who played a vital role in guiding Arua Hill SC to the top tier confirmed his departure after agreeing mutually to leave the club.

“After a very successful season with Arua Hill SC, the club has decided to end our relationship.

The defender posted in his Facebook wall.

Birikwalira is one of the most successful players having won almost everything there is in Ugandan football.

He won the Masaza Cup with Mawokota, Gothia cup with Kampala Junior Team (KJT), FUFA Drum tournament with Buganda, Uganda Premier League and Uganda Cup at Vipers SC.

Arua Hill SC is expected to unveil Livingstone Mbabazi as the new head coach and Sadick Sempigi as his immediate assistant.

The club has so far unveiled Rashid Toha (Vipers SC), Yusuf Ssaka (Kyetume), Samuel Sekamatte (Soltilo Bright Stars), Junior Adama (Calvary), Faizul Ibrahim and Gadaffi Wahab from Wakiso Giants.
