Dove Football Club have appointed Robert Ssekweyama as their new head coach ahead of the Fufa Big League second round.
Ssekweyama was unveiled on Sunday with a daunting task of saving Dove’s dreadful season that saw them finish the first round with no win registered.
The club proprietor Julius Mugisa says the tried and tested tactician was the perfect man for the club’s vacant job.
” We have appointed him because we believe he can do the job. He has not come to do experiments but do a right job, for the right club, at the right time. He is tested and tried. All what I beg of all stakeholders is to welcome and support him in the job.” Mugisa says.
Ssekweyama replaces Paddy Tan Kakande who was sacked last November, a month after filling the void left by Mark Twinamatsiko.
Ssekweyama has previously worked at SC Villa and Express but most recently Maroons FC all in the Uganda Premier League.
He will be deputized by Fred Musiime who was in charge of the club’s 5-0 win over New Villa in the Uganda Cup round of 64 encounter.
The Masindi based club also unveiled new players in Jesse Kajuba and Ronald Kirumira who scored a brace each.
Former SC Villa and Wakiso Giants forward Ali Magomu together with Emmanuel Iraku were also unveiled.
Dove FC are sitting bottom of the Rwenzori Group log with only three points from as many matches despite making the Big League play offs last season.
