Steven Bengo has revealed the toughest opponents he has ever faced in his adventurous football career.
Bengo was unveiling his initiative dubbed as “The Steven Bengo Initiative” after announcing official retirement from the beautiful game.
The former SC Villa and Uganda Cranes artistic midfielder named Mike Azira, Oscar Agaba and goalkeeper Dennis Onyango as the toughest opponents he ever faced.

” Although we grew up together, Agaba (Oscar) and Azira (Mike) were always very hard to play against. Then Onyango (Denis) was also a tough player to beat. You could even celebrate after scoring against him in the training as if it was in a real match.”
Bengo revealed his all-time best eleven that is dominated by former SC Villa players in a 4-3-3 formation.

Left Back : Godfrey Walusimbi
Center Backs : Ibrahim Sekagya and Mike Azira
Central Midfielders : Oscar Agaba, Steven Bengo and Augustine Nsumba

He also spared a thought his best three goals that includes his first goal in the Cranes colours against Eritrea at Nakivubo and two against Express.
Touted as one of the best offensive midfielders of his generation, Bengo played for SC Villa, URA FC, KCCA FC, URA FC, Soana, Wakiso Giants, Kenya’s Nakumatt FC and Yanga SC of Tanzania.
