Express FC head coach Wasswa Bbosa says his team must treat the home game against Kitara FC with much seriousness when the two sides meet at Wankulukuku on Friday.

Bbosa says Kitara is a good team and has good history against Express therefore his charges should not take them lightly.

” After winning away against Busoga United, we shift focus to our next game against Kitara FC who are a strong team. If we are to go by history, they have previously eliminated us from the Uganda Cup twice and our first leg encounter against them was not an easy one. We won 1-0.”

Bbosa said in the club’s pre match interview.

” We are well prepared because we know they are a good team with good players. They are fighting to stay in the league and we are also fighting to stay in the top 3.”

He added.

” We are not taking the game lightly, it is not already done like people think. We are taking it very seriously. We need nothing but victory so as to stay on the top.”

With five games to go, Express are top of the table with 55 points, one above second placed URA and two more than third placed Vipers.

The Red Eagles won the first leg encounter 1-0 at Kavumba through Frank Kalanda’s late penalty.

Kitara are bottom of the table with 13 points after 25 games. Any win for Express will automatically relegate Kitara with four games to go.
