SC Villa progressed to the semifinals of the Stanbic Uganda cup with a comfortable 3-0 win over first division side KJT at StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.
Wasswa Bbosa has commended his team for their high level of professionalism exhibited as they took on KJT, the lowest ranked team in the quarter finals.
” I am glad we have managed to progress to the semifinals, we played a good side in KJT with young talented players. We didn’t underestimate them but we handled them like a top tier side.”
On why his team managed to easily sweep KJT aside,
” We were focused, they’re are good ball playing side who provided an open game.”
Bbosa was also impressed with Simon Sserunkuma and Vitalis Tabu’s performances, judging by the fact they haven’t been playing regulary.
“It’s great for us to see them play well, players have to always follow the coach’s instructions that’s why they are on the right path. It’s important to tell someone what to do, We want to win and need serious people.”
SC Villa join holders KCCA in the semifinals of the 2018 Uganda cup. Vipers SC will take on Kansai Plascon and Synergy will host Proline FC on the weekend of 28th and 29th April to complete the quarterfinal round
