Bbosa confident as Express travel to Sudan for return leg with Al Merreikh

Ugandan champions Express FC flew out of the country on Tuesday night to Sudan ahead of the second leg encounter with Al Merreikh of the CAF Champions League preliminary stage.

The Red Eagles are leading the encounter 2-1 on aggregate having won the first leg at Kitende thanks to goals from Eric Kambale and Martin Kizza

Coach Wasswa Bbosa named an 18-man squad that he believes will complete the job when the two sides meet again on Friday 17th September in Khartoum.

Bbosa spoke with confidence as the team jetted out.

” We have prepared well and we shall definitely do a good job. The team is aware about the job at hand and they all want to progress to the first. We hope we arrive safely and execute the game plan.” Bbosa said via the Express FC website.

The team contingent consists of 18 players and seven officials.

Goalkeepers; Joel Mutakubwa, Denis Otim.

Defenders; Denis Mubuya, Enock Walusimbi (C), Murushid Juuko, Arthur Kiggundu, Issa Lumu.

Midfielders; Abel Michael Etrude, Yaya Mahad Kakooza, Daniel Shabene, John Byamukama, Muzamiru Mutyaba, Martin Kizza, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Joseph Akandwanaho, Charles Musiige.

Forwards; George Senkaaba and Erick Kambale.
