The national team head coach Sebastien Desabre confirmed three new faces in Fahad Bayo, Derrick Nsibambi and Taddeo Lwanga. Bayo and Derrick Nsibambi replaced Edrisa Lubega and Farouk Miya who are finalising with documentations of paperwork to their new clubs.
Among the new faces is debutant Fahad Bayo who only joined Zambian premier league outfit Buildcon FC.
Bayo has expressed his delight at the opportunity presented to him and he promises to take it with both hands, he says
“I am delighted to have been considered by the national team head coach on the senior national team. I believe the summon will help me achieve some of my targets in life like reaching my dream of playing professional football in Europe. I am to work hard to impress at the national team.”
The Buildcon forward also said that he has easily adopt to life in Zambia with the help of fellow Ugandans
“I have found life easy in Zambia since I play with fellow Ugandans in Geoffrey Sserunkuma and Hood Kawesa at Buildcon. They both my seniors who i listen to and most importantly they advice me were necessary.”
He has been in brilliant form since his move from Proline to Buildcon and managed to score 4 goals during the Zambian club Pre-season. Bayo before his departure scored 6 goals for Proline in the league this season.
He is expected to replicate the same while in the national team colours during the forth coming international friendlies slated for 24th and 27th March 2018. Uganda will play against Nambia and another nation that is yet to be confirmed.
