The organisers of the Fortebet Real Stars awards have confirmed the nominees in five sports disciplines for the month of October.
In football, Fauzia Najjemba (Crested Cranes and U-20 Women), Charles Lukwago (Uganda Cranes and St.George) and Fahad Bayo (FC Ashdod and Uganda Cranes) are the three players shortlisted.
Bayo scored two goals for Uganda against Rwanda when the two nations met during a double header in October while Lukwago kept two clean sheets during the encounters.

Najjemba was outstanding for both the Crested Cranes and U-20 Women national teams.
Betway Kobs duo of Ivan Munyani, Joseph Aredo will battle with Pirates Kevin Balagadde for the Rugby gong.
Deo Akope has been shortlisted with two ladies Nakalembe Irene and Peace Kabasweka for the golf accolade.
Akope became the first Ugandan professional to win a Safari Tour circuit when he emerged to victorious at the 2021 Nyali Golf series. The legend also bagged Shs 13,000,000, a lion’s share of the prize money on the menu.
Irene Nakalembe championed the 2021 Dar es salaam Open while Peace Kabasweka was runners up.
Three Cricketers Dineshi Nakrani, Cyrus Kakuru and Pascal Murungi are on the final short list from whom one will be crowned on Tuesday.
In Tennis, Hilder Afwoyoroth, Latif Sendyowa and Ambrose Byaruhanga are the three nominees.
The winners in each category will be announced on Tuesday at Route 256 Restaurant, Lugogo.
