The organisers of the Fortebet Real Stars awards have announced the winners in five sports disciplines for the month of October.
The winners in each category were revealed on Tuesday at Route 256 Restaurant, Lugogo at the event that was graced by the Uganda Sports Press Association (USPA) President Patrick Kanyomozi.

Latif Sendyowa (Tennis), Irene Nakalembe (Golf), Mulungi Pascal (Cricket), Joseph Aredo (Rugby) and Fahad Bayo (football) were the winners for the month of October.
Bayo who scored two crucial goals for the Uganda Cranes during the double header against Rwanda was named as the football player of the month of October.

The Ashdod forward beat Fauzia Najjemba (Crested Cranes and U-20 Women) and Charles Lukwago (Uganda Cranes and St.George) to the award.

Joseph Aredo walked away with the Rugby award were he battled his Betway Kobs teammate Ivan Munyani and Pirates Kevin Balagadde.

Nakalembe who championed at the 2021 Dar es salaam Open beat her runner up at event Peace Kabasweka and Deo Akope to the Golf accolade.
Pascal Murungi emerged the winner for the Cricket accolade. Dineshi Nakrani and Cyrus Kakuru were the other nominees.

In Tennis, Latif Sendyowa beat Hilder Afwoyoroth and Ambrose Byaruhanga to win the October gong.
