Ugandan lanky left back Shafik Batambuze has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with Kenyan champions Gor Mahia.
Batambuze comes as a prime replacement for his compatriot Godfrey Walusimbi “Jjaja Walu” who left K’Oghalo for Kaizer Chiefs in South Africa.
He returns to Kenya after his stint at Tanzanian side Singida United came to an end.
Batambuze, together with homecoming Kenneth Muguna will however be registered as Gor Mahia players when the Kenyan transfer window officially opens on 29th October.
He has in the near past played for Western Stima, Muhoroni Youth, Sofapaka and Tusker FC in KPL.
He was also among the 23 players that represented Uganda in the 2017 AFCON final tournament in Gabon.
