BASKETBALL: St. Cyprian clinches Zone 4 National schools qualifiers

Mukono based institution, St. Cyprian High School Kyabakade has proved a gradual rising entity as far as Secondary school Basketball is concerned.

Having embraced the game of basketball this year, the Mukono side convincingly emerged winners of the Zone 4 National Secondary School Basketball Qualifiers.

St. Cyprian clinched the number one slot in the games played on Friday 12th April at Seeta High School Green campus.

The Zone 4 qualifiers are constituted by participating secondary schools from within Kampala, Luweero and Mukono districts. Four slots were at stake for the boys category as well as three for the girls with over 18 schools taking part.

To clinch the coveted number one slot, St. Cyprian got better of St. Balikuddembe (55-32), St. Michael (49-26), Lubiri SS (25-00) and Ssaku SS (49-35) among other results.

The National secondary school Basketball tournament will be held in Mbale district between 4-11 May 2019.

Qualified Teams
Boys Category; St. Cyprian High School (Mukono), Ndejje SS (Luweero), Namilyango College (Mukono) and Ssaku SS (Luweero).

Girls Category; Seeta High Green (Mukono), Crane High School (Kampala) and Naalya SS Lugazi (Mukono)
