Bamweyana in search for 2nd victory from visit to Ndejje

Only one point separates record league champions SC Villa and league debutants Ndejje University as the two face off at the Arena of visions in Ndejje

Douglas Bamweyana has managed 4 points from his two games since taking over from Moses Basena, a 1-0 win against Nyamityobora and an unfortunate stalemate with Maroons where marksman Bashir Mutanda missed a penalty.

SC Villa eliminated Ndejje University from the FUFA Uganda cup last season at the round of 16 at Muteesa II Stadium. However only Ambrose Kirya among the Villa squad will be able to face the Ndejje Lions again.

SC Villa’s shining youngster Albert Mugisa returns from suspension to face the team that gave him first shot at competition football. He was part of the Ndejje side that fell short of qualification in the 2016/17 FUFA big league promotion play off against Mbarara city.

Noel Nasasira is from being crowned the MVP of last season’s FUFA big league and he will be in fine spirits to lift the struggling Ndejje.

Bashir Mutanda is firing on all cylinders for SC Villa having scored in their last 5 consecutive games, he expects to make amends for the missed penalty against Maroons that should have won Bamweyana his 2nd game.

Form guide :

Victory for the Jogoos will raise them up to 10th on 11 points whereas Ndejje can only move one place above SC Villa to 12th.
