Bafana Bafana assistant coach Cedomir Janevski has tested positive for Covid-19 pandemic ahead of their international friendly with Uganda Cranes.

Bafana Bafana assistant coach Cedomir Janevski has tested positive for Covid-19 pandemic ahead of their international friendly with Uganda Cranes.

The 59-year-old Macedonian was to be in charge of the friendly alongside Helman Mkhalele as head coach Hugo Broos has headed back to Belgium for his second Covid-19 vaccination.

He joins duo of forward Percy Tau and Teboho Mokoena who also tested positive for the global pandemic.

Mokoena’s SuperSport United team-mate Sipho Mbule will also be unavailable for Thursday due to being in close contact with Mokoena.

The team will now be under the stewardship of assistant Mkhalele on Thursday, 10th June when they face Uganda at the Orlando Stadium.

Meanwhile, Uganda Cranes head coach Abdallah Mubiru has all his players fit and the team was joined by custodian Ismail Watenga and attacking midfielder Moses Waiswa on Tuesday.
