The Uganda Badminton Association CEO Simon Mugabi has declared that the country is well prepared and ready to host the Uganda International Badminton Championships.
Mugabi also confirmed that 18 countries will participate in the competition which is to start on Thursday 21st February to Sunday 24th February at MTN Arena, Lugogo.
“We are well prepared to host the Uganda International Championships that is slated to start on Thursday and end on Sunday. It has attracted various countries. Everything is ready with the Courts put in place and we are waiting for our guest.”
This event will help all the participating countries prepare for the Olympic games in Tokyo. The winners from various categories will also share a prize money of $10,000.”
The four day event will see countries like Zambia, Kenya, India, Mongolia, Egypt, Switzerland, Ivory coast, USA, Germany, Italy among others. The categories they will compete in are the men’s singles, Women’s singles, mixed doubles and doubles.
