BACKLASH: KCCA fans react furiously to the news of exiting youngsters

Byekwaso told some of these players that they have failed to progress like Okello, Kizza and Serwadda so he has no time to wait for their development anymore. Sunday Opio another Junior league's youngster is expected to be shown the exit. Surprisingly, Yasser Mugerwa and Emmanuel Wasswa are already nursing injuries

This evening, KCCA FC has announced that defender Samuel Kato Nemeyimana and Moses Aliro will be leaving the club following a mutual agreement with the club to have their contracts terminated.

Samuel Kato, an ever present central defender in Mike Mutebi’s starting eleven has been told to leave the club to pave way for new signing Geoffrey Wasswa.

This website understands that Kato will be unveiled by Soltilo Bright Stars any time from now to follow compatriot Hassan Matovu who was let go last week.

Besides Kato, Moses Aliro has also received his release letter this evening and has been asked to find a club where he will try his luck.

Swift Sports understands that the versatile talented youngster has already attracted offers from different clubs yearning for his signature.

Aliro has only served 12 months of his 5 year contract signed when Mike Mutebi attracted him to Lugogo from Doves All Stars FC.

Another academy graduate Filbert Obenchan was the first to be shown the exit door and he is bound to be followed by many of his counterparts.

KCCA seems to be in demand for tried and tested players evidenced by the signing of Yassir Mugerwa, Brian Majwega, Brian Kayanja, Geoffrey Wasswa and Innocent Wafula.

Many fans who believed in the “Our way” notion thought that Morley Byekwaso’s appointment would be a matter of cohesion and continuity but actions indicate that the new man in charge doesn’t believe in unproven youngsters.

Reports have been made that former SC Villa and Vipers striker Davis Kasirye is undergoing trials for a possible contract offer at Lugogo yet Joseph Kafumbe has been asked to move out. This could not be heard of under Mike Mutebi.

This evening, the news of Samuel Kato and Moses Aliro has been posted on the club’s official Twitter and Facebook accounts but the fans’ reaction wasn’t one to be proud of.

A one Denis Semakula even doubted whether the players were simply leaving under mutual consent as claimed by the club.

He said

” It is not by mutual consent as you guys are claiming, it’s because Byekwaso wanted to replace them with old players who have failed from other clubs, I will personally miss Kato but Byekwaso history will judge you”
