Newly elected Uganda Netball Federation President Sarah Babirye has pledged unity in the Federation.

The former Member of Parliament representing the Youths from Buganda was on Saturday, 5th June elected as the new boss of the Netball federation in the country.

She beat former She Cranes team manager Jocelyn Ucanda and Trinity College Nabbingo teacher Christine Nampijja.

“I thank everyone for everything that has made this day a success. I and my team we pledge to unite the entire Netball family, I call upon the supporters of everyone we contested with to come and we develop the game of Netball together.”

“We are here to be supported and we are here to make the game shine. I thank the delegates that have trusted us much and we promise to fulfill our pledges.”

Stated Babirye.

Babirye who garnered 184 votes will lead the federation for the next four years and replaces Susan Anek whose three terms came to an end.
