Striker Juliet Nalukenge is the notable absentee on the list of traveling players. The youngster has already returned to Cyprus for club duties at AMOK Chrysomolia.

Ayub Khalifa names traveling squad for U20 friendly game against Tanzania

The Uganda U20 Women national team coach Ayub Khalifa has named the traveling squad that will face Tanzania in a friendly game scheduled for Thursday 9th December and another one two days later.

The friendly game will be played as part of the celebrations of Tanzania’s 60 years of Independence. Uganda’s men side The Cranes will also be facing off with Tanzania’s seniors The Taifa Stars on the same day.

Ayub Khalifa will use the game as a precursor for his team’s return leg with South Africa in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers with South Africa on Friday 17th December.

The Ugandan girls have an advantage of 1-0 attained in the first leg at Kitende courtesy of Hadija Nandago.

Tanzania will also be using the game to prepare for their return leg against Burundi having won the first leg in Dar es Salaam 3-2.
