Soana will be seeking their first victory against Vipers in a period close to 5 years.

Vipers have always cherished meetings with Soana and the previous 7 meetings have seen Vipers win 5 and drawn on two occasions.

However, David Mutono the man who was in charge the last time these two met in the first round maintains that his team will not be an easy nut to crack in tomorrow’s game. He says,

” We are set for this game and everyone is in good shape to take on Vipers. They are among the tittle favourites and they will come expecting for victory from us but we also have our own targets and objectives which makes this a hard game for both of us”.

“We have not always enjoyed games against them but this is a new game and we hope to give them a hard time like we did in the first round, I am glad that Alex Isabirye is here and the additions we made in the window will be of a great impact. ”

He added

This will be Alex Isabirye’s first game since making a U-turn to Kavumba after a 5 months stint in Western Uganda with Big League side Nyamityobora FC.

Vipers look to be a reinvigorate side with the acquisition of hit man Daniel Mzee Serunkuuma who joined during the January transfer window. Serunkuuma comes with bags of experience with goal predatory instincts. He is among the league’s top scorers albeit playing the first half of the season with relegation threatened Express FC.

Soana FC have also strengthen their squad with the acquisition of KCCA reject Steven Bengo, striker Simon Okwi from URA FC and Petit Wanock who joined as a free agent. Bengo and Okwi will make their debuts tomorrow.

Soana are among the teams that have used their home to great advantage having only won 4 games at Kavumba, drawn 2 and lost only once a defeat inflicted on them by KCCA FC.

On the contrary, Vipers have not been a good side on the road, they have only won 3 out of the 8 games, drawn 3 and lost 2.

Only Baden Ogama Mujahid will miss the trip to Kavumba through injury and there has not been any serious injuries reported from the Kavumba based side

Vipers currently lie 3rd on the log with 26 points whereas Soana stand in the bottom half of the league having only managed 19 points and sitting in 10th.
