AUPL: Proline cruise to a convincing 3-0 win over Mbarara City

Proline striker Bayo Fahad continued with his impressive form when he opened Proline’s rout on Mbarara City with a superb header from a perfectly weighed cross.

Proline’s proved too dominant for their visitors and by the 24th minute, Sula Matovu had doubled the lead following a superb solo drive down the left wing.

Mbarara city’s first genuine chance came in the 38th minute and it fell to Asuman Harishe but his shot was easily gathered by Proline stalwart Saidi Keni.

Enter the second half, it was Mbarara city who opened with the substitutions with Viali Bainomugisha replacing the visibly tired Swalihi Babe for Samuel Arinaitwe. This was followed by the introduction of Bassey Methodius for Solomon Okwalinga in the 58th and 60th minutes respectively.

Joseph Mandela put the score beyond reach for Proline Fc with an other neat header at the end of a well built move from defence when he met Bayo Fahad’s whipped cross into the area.

Mujib Kasule introduced on Bismarck Muduikel for Arnold Sserunjogi and the exciting youngster Bright Anukani for Joseph Mandela to maintain their grip on the game.

There was an earlier scare for Proline when defender Savio Kabugo collided with goal keeper Saidi Keni which brought the game to a stand still for close to 5 minutes.

The win propelled Proline to their second consecutive win of the season after beating Soana FC on match day 4 and they now move to the top half of the table with 7 points.
