Kirinya Jinja SS players celebrate one of  Musa Esenu’s goals

Kirinya Jinja SS Fc came from a goal down to edge Proline 2-1 at Bugembe Stadium, courtesy to a brace from Musa Esenu.

The home side fell to a goal down in the 32nd minute through a well converted penalty by Proline’s David Owori resulting from a Faizal Muledhu push on Joseph Mandela in the forbidden area.

Kirinya however were level three minutes later when Musa Esenu hit the target from a spot kick after a foul on him by Savio Kabugo inside the 18 yards box.

With just three minutes to half time break Musa made it 2-1 from on a Faizal Muledhu cross to head in his second of the evening thus ending to end the first stanza leading.

In the second half Kirinya Jinja SS thought they had got the third through Musa Esenu again but his goal was ruled out for offside by the match day officials.

Proline pushed for the equaliser but couldn’t find a way through a solid defensive organization of Livingston Mulondo and Willy Makulo , before the final whistle Musa Esenu and George Kansoke of Kirinya Jinja SS were booked.

By the final whistle Musa Esenu was the hero of the day as his brace took Kirinya to the summit on 11points leapfrogging Police Fc who were on top but have a game in hand.

Proline tactician Mujib Kasule made the following changes in the second half with Musa Kundi, Sam Kintu and Sula Matovu paving way for Joseph Ssemujju, Dichimma Ewuchie and Simon Mbazira

Whereas Charles Ayiekoh introduced on Fred Amaku, Andrew Basoma, Mugoya Mustafa for Ibrahim Kayiwa, Faizal Muwawu and Anthony Mayanja respectively.

Charles Ayiekoh’s men
will next visit Police at Namboole whereas Proline host UPDF at Lugogo in their next fixture.
