Abudallah Mubiru’s Police fc visits Arua in attempt to end Onduparaka’s unbeaten record at the Greenlight stadium. The cops come in today’s fixture after edging Proline at Namboole courtesy of a Norman Ogik brace while Onduparaka come off a 4-1 defeat at the hands of KCCA last week.
This will be the third ever encounter between the two sides with Onduparaka winning the previous two meetings.
Last season, Onduparaka won the first leg 2-1 in Arua through goals from Shaban Mohammed and Kabon Living while Ben Ochen scored a consolation for the visitors.
The second encounter was played at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo after the game being rescheduled from Nakivubo and Police failed to make amends losing 2-0 courtesy of goals scored by Kabon Living and Gaddafi Gadinho.
Onduparaka will asher in lanky skipper Rashid Toha in to the first eleven. This will be his first appearance after nursing a nagging injury. New signings Allan Busobozi and Rashid Okocha are ruled out of the duel because of passport issues while goalkeeper Yunus Baker who joined in the closing stages of the transfer window, will be in contention for the first spot in goal.
The caterpillars will also start a new life after the departure of Shaban Mohammed to KCCA FC and will bank on Gaddafi Gadinho, Kabon Living and veteran striker Ceaser Okhuti.
Police on the other hand will rely on striker Norman Ojik who scored a brace against Proline, crafty midfielders Juma Balinnya, Gift Ali, Rahmat Senfuka and Albert Mugisa.
