Maroons duo Central midfielder Felix Okot and attacking midfielder Pius Obuya both sustained injuries early in the first half and replaced by Ronald Kikonyogo and Yahaya Luuti.

In the second half, the visitors gained momentum and began causing various attacks through Baker Lukooya who made numerous runs down the left wing.

Asaph Mwebaze’s side thought they had broke the deadlock when William Kiibi flashed the ball into the net in the 50th minute only to be cancelled after a foul on Soana custodian Joel Mutakubwa.

Soana head coach David Katono Mutono made changes to boost his attack with Baker Buyala, Allan Kayiwa and Emmanuel Kalyowa coming on for Willy Kavuma, Muwadda Mawejje and Stephen Ategeka.

Yahaya Luuti who had come on earlier in the first half was forced off for Maroons with injury in the later stages and replaced with Solomon Ewol. The game ended in a barren stalemate with few scoring chances.

The draw today extends David Katono Mutono’s unbeaten run as Soana head coach to five games since taking over from Shafiq Bisaso, drawing thrice and won two.

The draw today puts Soana in 8 position on the Azam Uganda Premier league log with 14 points whereas Soana moves in 10th place with 13 points.

Asaph Mwebaze and his troops will next visit Vipers Sc at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende on Saturday 18th November while Soana host Kcca Fc in Kavumba on the same date.
