Express FC will be seeking for a 3rd consecutive win as they play host to Onduparaka in Round 6 of Azam Uganda premier league at Wankulukuku Stadium.
The two sides come into this fixture on a winning note having won their previous respective matches. Onduparaka defeated Soana 2-0 in Arua whereas Express edged URA with a slim 1-0 victory last week.
This will be the 3rd meeting between the two sides with Express yet to notch a win from the previous two meetings. Onduparaka has won once and drawn the other.
On the same ground last season, the two settled for a 1-1 draw – John Ssemazzi scored for Express and Rashid Toha equalised in the last kicks of the game. Onduparaka edged the second leg tie in Arua 2-1 courtesy of a Rashid Toha brace cancelling out an Allan Kyambadde early goal.
Express come into this encounter on a background of 2 consecutive wins and hope to become the second team to win three in a row this season after Vipers. They have so far won 2-0 against Maroons and most recently 1-0 past the tax collectors.
Onduparaka striker Ceaser Okhuti will be in spot as he faces his former side. Okhuti who played for Express between August – November 2015 and netted 8 times for the Red Eagles, has so far scored 2 goals for Onduparaka.
Express has won 2 of their last 5 home games, drawing 2 times and losing the other while Onduparaka has lost 3 of their last 5 away games, winning once and drawing once.
The hosts will rely on striker Daniel Muzeyi Serunkuuma who was the difference in the last fixture against URA and has 2 goals on to his name while Onduparaka will look up to Ceaser Okhuti, Gadaffi Gadinho, Vianey Sekajugo and skipper Rashid Toha to get a result from this encounter.
Express is currently 9th on the league table with 7 points while Onduparaka lies 5th with 10 points and a win can propel them to the log summit.
