Kefa Kisala coached side BUL FC will visit Wankulukuku in a pursuit to prolong their impressive run over the embattled 6-time league champions Express Football Club.
The Jinja based outfit has managed to attain four victories and 4 clean sheets in the last four encounters they have faced Express in the league.
The previous 8 meetings between the two has seen BUL FC emerge a dominant side winning 5 and drawing on two occasions. Express has only won once – a 4-0 in 2015-16 season.
Early this season, midfielder Yunus Sibira’s 68th minute strike was the only difference when the two sides met up at Kakindu Stadium last October.
The hosts, Express FC come into this duel on the aftermath of getting their first point in 6 league games following a 5-match losing streak. On the other hand, BUL FC’s previous fixture was a 1-0 win over URA at Kakindu.

The Red Eagles have won two of the 8 home games this season, drawing twice and losing the other four. On contrast, their opponents BUL FC have lost 5 of their 7 games on road, winning and drawing the other two.
Kefa Kisala has stressed his team’s readiness for this tie.
“We are set for the encounter. Our performance on road has not been that pleasant but we have worked hard on building our players up to the challenge because our away performance has always been related to toughness and agility. So I expect positive results at the end of the day.”
His team will however cope up with the absence of injured defender Fred Agandu and winger Mike Ndera.
Kisala’s opposite number Shafik Bisaso has reiterated in the similar way.
“Our team is in good shape and there is a high spirit in the camp as the boys are still hungry for maximum points.”
“It’s a blessing we are at home so that is supposed to be an added advantage to us. I expect the fans to be our 12th player.” Bisaso adds.
Express will continue to life without defenders Edgar Bwogi and Ronnie Kisekka who are still sidelined with injuries. Sulaiman Jjingo will also miss out due to suspension following accumulated bookings.
BUL FC who are currently 8th on the log with 21 points, will rely on Hamis Tibita and mid-season acquisition Douglas Owori who scored in the last match against URA.
Express will look up to Joseph Semujju, Alfred Leku and Isaac Kisujju for inspiration to earn maximum points. A win can possibly elate them from the 15th position to one spot higher.
