Two goals in the first ten minutes were enough to give Onduparaka a well deserved win over Soana FC at Betway Green light Stadium in Arua.
Skipper Rashid Toha led by example with a towering header finishing off a Gadaffi Gadinho free kick in the first minute of the game. Eight minutes later Vianne Ssekajugo scored another goal for the hosts making it 2-0.
It was Soana’s 2nd consecutive loss after falling to Proline at Lugogo 2 weeks ago. After the game, Shafik Bisaso said he had himself to blame for Soana ‘s loss.
“We have lost today’s game because of my tactics. I miss calculated the game hence the loss. We fell to an early goal and we failed to recover from it.”
However, Bisaso insists that it’s too early to write his team off because, there are still more games for them to redeem themselves. He added,
“We are going back to correct the mistakes committed and come back better, we have a strong squad in which I have massive faith to bounce back.”
The win lifted Onduparaka to 3rd with 10 points and Soana still lie close to the bottom of the league in 15th with 4 points.
Onduparaka will visit Express FC as Soana visit Vipers on 20th and 18th September respectively in the next fixture.
