National Council of Sports (NCS) and the Uganda Athletics Federation (UAF) flagged off six athletes on Tuesday morning for the forthcoming World Championships.
The flagging off ceremony was graced by AIGP Andrew Sorowen and Assistant General Secretary NCS, David Katende.
Uganda will be represented by 22 Athletes at the 17th edition of the IAAF World Athletics championships. The event is slated for 27th September to 6th October in Doha at the Multipurpose Khalifa International Stadium.

The first bunch comprises of Shida Leni, Stella Chesanga, Peruth Chemutai, Stephen Kissa, Linet Chebet and Rachael Zena Chebet who will travel to Doha this evening.
Winnie Nanyondo, Oscar Chelimo, Halima Nakayi and Ronald Musagala who are already in Europe will link up with them in Doha.
Jacob Kiplimo, Solomon Mutai, Stephen Kiprotich and Joshua Cheptegei will depart for Doha on October 4th.
