Striker Steven Dese Mukwala is set to join Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko FC from URA FC.
Mukwala is already on his way to Ghana to complete his move to the Porcupine Warriors.
The URA striker pulled out of the Uganda Cranes squad that was meant to play against Eastern Region Select in the regional tour match on Saturday.
He is set to replace striker Kwame Opoku who left the club for Alger’s USM Alger.
Mukwala was Asante Kotoko’s transfer target last year but negotiations between his representatives and the club failed to concluded due to a difference in fees.
Mukwala was the top scorer of the Uganda Premier League in the 2019/20 season while playing for Maroons.
He scored 14 goals and registered six assists for URA FC last season.
He will become the third Ugandan player to feature for Asante Kotoko after Joseph Ochaya and striker George Opiyo Abege.
