Arua Hill summon Mbalangu and his technical team for “breaching code of conduct”


Newly promoted side Arua Hill SC have summoned coach Hussein Mbalangu and his entire coaching staff for allegedly breaching the club’s code of conduct.

Mbalangu, alongside his assistant coach Joseph Kiwanuka and Ivan Ntambi (goalkeepers coach) petitioned FUFA on allegations that Arua Hill had appointed Livingstone Mbabazi despite the trio having valid contracts with the club.

Mbalangu and his team led Arua Hill SC to the Uganda Premier League unbeaten with 30 points garnered from 14 Big League games.

In a letter this website is privy to, Arua Hill summoned Mbalangu and his team to appear to the club’s Disciplinary Committee for allegedly breaching the contractual obligations relying on rumours.

“Arua Hill SC is a professional club with a high level of integrity and ethics and it has come to the notice that the whole technical team has been relying on social media speculation about professional issues surrounding the club without consulting the club.” Reads part of the letter.

“As a result of no much believe in social media speculation you have been acting in a manner that is prejudicial to the image and reputation of the club contrary to the contractual obligations.”

“The purpose of this letter is to notify you to appear before the Club’s Disciplinary Committee on the 4th day of August in Arua IF NO APPEARANCE is made by yourself or someone by law authorised to act for you, the case may be heard in your absence and decision concerning head coach may be entered according.”

Swift Sports has also learnt that there has not been any official communication from the club administrators addressing the future of Mbalangu and his team at the club amidst links of Mbabazi’s appointment.

Mbabazi was appointed as the new Cranes assistant coach on Tuesday, a role that comes with no attachment to any local club.

Arua Hill have been vibrant in the ongoing transfer window and have so far unveiled Yusuf Ssaka, Junior Adama, Sam Ssekamatte Kayongo, Ivan Eyam and Ibrahim Faizul.

In the process, former Calvary FC coach Ahmed Borini has also been unveiled as a new member of the club’s technical team.
