Arua Hill halts Police’s resurgence

Second goal scorer Stephen Kabuye had a dream debut after joining from Kyetume in the mid season transfer window

Police FC fell into the Leopards’ den last evening when they were beaten by Arua Hill at the Barifa stadium.

Police FC had been enjoying a fine form of three games winning streak after beating Tooro United, Soltilo Bright Stars and UPDF FC.

This feat saw them move out of the relegation mix and up to 10th place and 5 points above 14th placed Bright Stars.

First half goals from debutant Stephen Kabuye and Rashid Kawawa Olu were enough to disarm the peace keepers.

Stephen Kabuye had only joined in the mid season transfer window from Big league side Kyetume FC and majestically walked into the starting line up of the Kongolo.

Kawawa’s goal was a beautiful acrobatic kick in the 24th minute and Kabuye’s victory consolidation strike just six minutes later.

Livingston Mbabazi’s men move up to 4th place on 28 points and only 5 behind top placed Vipers SC.

They will next visit Vipers SC on the 12th of January whereas Police FC will hope to bounce back against UPDF FC in the forces derby at Lugogo on 10th January 2022
