Arafat Usama completes move to KCCA FC

2020 Masaza Cup Most Valuable Player (MVP) Arafat Usama has completed a move to join 13 Uganda Premier League champions KCCA FC.

Usama has signed an employment contract of three years with KCCA from Buganda regional league club Kajjansi United.

The crafty attacker garnered interest from KCCA during his debut season in the Masaza Cup tournament. He scored four goals and made six assists as Busiro finished third in the most recent edition.

He is a former St Mary’s Kitende student and was instrumental as Buganda Region League side Kajjansi United knocked out Vipers SC in the 2020 Stanbic Uganda Cup at the round of 32.

Usama has also previously featured for Mbale Tigers Soccer Academy and CRO Soccer Academy.

A brother to Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Ismail Watenga, Usama is a student of Kampala International University pursuing a Bachelors in Information Technology (IT).

KCCA has already confirmed the departure of Filbert Obenchan and Moses Kalanzi while a number of players are reportedly on their way out of the club.
