Anaku’s seventh goal of the season inspires KCCA past Onduparaka

DAVID GOMBE

Sadat Anaku netted a late winner as KCCA FC beat Onduparaka 1-0 at Greenlight Stadium on Sunday evening.

The forward scored the all important goal in the 80th minute as KCCA FC completed a double over the Arua based side.

Kabong Living squandered the home side’s best chances in the first and second half respectively.

This was also KCCA FC’s seventh League win over Onduparaka, winning all their previous four meetings.

Onduparaka have lost their last league games, they have only won once since Joseph Mutyaba was appointed on interim basis replacing Bainomugisha Vialli.

Victory sees KCCA FC reclaim fourth place on a superior goal difference with fifth placed Police but both sides are on the same number of points 37 in 20 games. Morley Byekwaso’s charges will next host Soltilo Bright Stars on Thursday.

The Arua based side are now 11th on the table with 24 points, just five above the red zone. They will next travel to third placed Express FC on Wednesday.
