KCCA FC and free agent Allan Kateregga “Dancing Rasta” are nearing completion of negotiations for a possible return to Lugogo.

Swift Sports sources reveal that KCCA head coach Morley Byekwaso is a great fan of Allan Kateregga and his availability makes him a viable option.

The dreadlocked Cranes winger is expected to put pen to paper on a two year employment contract.

In the event that the deal materializes, the left-footed midfielder who can ably play as a left winger will be returning to the club for a second stint having previously featured for them during the 2017-18 season.

Kateregga has been without a club since 2020 when his one year contract with Iraqi based side Ebril SC came to an end.

He has since then been linked to South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns and Tshakhuma TM, Simba SC and DR Congo’s AS Vita Club among other clubs.

He has also previously played for SC Victoria University (now defunct), Tusker FC (Kenya), AFC Leopards (Kenya) and South Africa’s Cape Town City FC and Maritzburg United.

Capped eight times for the Uganda national team, Kateregga was also part of the Cranes that represented the Uganda at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.

KCCA has so far made seven signings in Yasser Mugerwa, Brian Kayanja, Emmanuel Alex Wasswa, Arafat Usama, Brian Majwega, Geoffrey Wasswa and Innocent Wafula.
