Akandanahwo late strike hands Isabirye first win at Nyamityobora

Joseph Akandanahwo’s 87th minute goal was enough for ‘Mr. Fix it” Alex Isabirye to earn his first win since taking over from Asaph Mwebaze.

His sole effort inspired Nyamityobora to victory over Onduparaka at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara.

Both sides tried their lack but neither side had enough cutting edge to breakthrough.

Onduparaka FC was forced into subsitution in the 44th minute Richard Ayiko coming in for skipper Rashid Toha who left the pitch limping.

Faizul Ibrahim, Ceaser Okhuti and Toha Rashid of Onduparaka FC were all booked by referee Ronald Madanda while Jerry Jakisa was the only player cautioned.

At the end of the day Joseph Akandanahwo was named Pilsner man of the match

The result affects no position
either side as Isabirye’s charges remain 15th and the Caterpillars remain 5th with 34 points.

Nyamityobora FC will be playing Bright Stars in their next fixture as the Caterpillars will be hosting SC Villa at Green Light Stadium Arua
