Six teams will represent Mbarara District in the regional games that will be held in Masindi District on 24th August 2019 under the 8th edition of the Airtel Rising Stars under 17 football competitions.
The six include three from both the boys and girls categories.

Salim Twaha the coordinator Western region Airtel rising stars confirmed that development and lauded Airtel for the initiative.
“We thank Airtel for this football competition that has provided a structure for the National team right from the young ones. This has helped many children get a chance to showcase their talents, i believe this will help them have a chance to become professional footballers in the near future.”
The boys teams that qualified are Mbarara Sports Academy, Ssendyowa FC and Senta College whereas Shuuku Vocational, St. Mary’s Vocational School and Nsabya Hillside School prevailed on the girls side.
