Cape Verde Islands drew Group L more open with a 3-0 walloping of the Taifa Stars of Tanzania in Praia.
Prior to kick off, Cape Verde was sitting on the bottom of the table with only one point whereas Tanzania had not tasted defeat yet.
Tanzania’s tactician Emmanuel Amunike made only one change from the line up that started in Kampala, Petrojet’s Himid Mao took the place of injured Frank Domayo.
Ricardo Gomes scored two quick goals in the 16th and 23rd minutes to spring the island nation into a 2-0 halftime lead.
Amunike made a first half substitution bringing on Shomari Salum Kapombe for left full back Michael Gadiel.
